Voted Best in Class
| MediCom Worldwide, Inc., is pleased to share that our education and quality improvement initiative titled “Improving Care Disparities for Black Americans in Mississippi with Venous Thromboembolism: The Role of Care Transitions in Critical Access Hospitals,” was selected as Best in Class in the cardiovascular category by Bristol Myers Squibb for their 2021 Annual Poster Gallery.
The quality improvement study, which is in progress, will evaluate whether a VTE Care Transitions Coordinator working with patients with a first-time diagnosis of VTE and subsequently discharged on a DOAC can decrease readmission rates for VTE within the 30-day discharge period and improve patient activation measures.
